October To Be Proclaimed Children’s Environmental Health Month in Irvine

Irvine City Councilmember Larry Agran and Mayor Farrah Khan submitted a request to proclaim October, 2021 “Children’s Environmental Health Month” in Irvine. The Children’s Environmental Health Month encourages organizations and individuals to help raise awareness and understanding of children’s environmental health issues, and improve environmental health protection for children.

"It's our duty as Councilmembers to protect Irvine's children from toxic exposures. I'll continue my advocacy on behalf of Irvine’s children and their families so that our everyday environments are safe and up to Irvine's quality-of-life standards. Therefore, I'm proud to bring this before the Council in proclaiming October 2021 as Children's Environmental Health Month in the City of Irvine," said Councilmember Agran.

The request has been added to the agenda for the October 12, 2021 City Council meeting.
