Why Won’t the City Council Audit its Investments? Larry Asks in His Podcast

Beginning April 1, $7.75 million of Irvine residents’ money is going to be put to the test as the Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) launches service for commercial (business) customers. 93% of this electricity is supposed to come from renewable energy sources, but as a ratepayer, businesses will, depending on their size, pay at least 4-7% more in electricity bills per month.

Why has the City Council refused to audit the Orange County Power Authority? According to Larry

“They are playing with the people's money, not their own money. Why won’t my colleagues put this matter on the City Council agenda?”
